Congratulations to Herman Meinders for receiving the 2008 Dean A. McGee Award that recognizes a lifetime of contributions to Downtown Oklahoma City. During the May 22 awards banquet, Zach D. Taylor was posthumously awarded the 2008 Standley Draper Award for community excellence in Downtown Oklahoma City. The 2008 Neal Horton Award was awarded to Micheal J. Knopp for his role in the renaissance of a part of Downtown Oklahoma City. These leaders pave the way for future generations.

Jones Public Relations staff attended the launching of the Devon river boats as part of the Oklahoma River Cruises, a new ferry service that spans a 7-mile section of the Oklahoma River. Jones Public Relations, Inc., was recognized with the top four awards by the Public Relations Society of America’s Oklahoma City Chapter during its 30th Annual Upper Case Awards competition.  The staff of Jones Public Relations, Inc., Oklahoma City's only downtown PR firm, was celebrating the Christmas season with a lunch at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill on Friday, Dec. 21. While discussing the menu and one of its feature items, the All-American Cheeseburger, we had the opportunity to experience American patriotism first-hand with a parade of U.S. soldiers filling the restaurant.
