"I wasn't a great communicator, but I communicated great things."
OKLAHOMA CITY – Harkins Bricktown Theatres has formed a sponsorship partnership with Citizens Caring for Children, a nonprofit agency that provides clothing, school supplies and other necessities to foster children around the state.
“We provide opportunities for the community to connect with foster children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect,” said Amy Mitchell, executive director of Citizens Caring for Children. “Sometimes they literally have nothing but the clothing on their backs and need basic things like shoes; others need a support system to help them through the tough times. Through this partnership with Harkins, we hope to spread our message and continue to help the children of our state.”
Harkins will run advertisements for Citizens Caring for Children in its theaters, as well as coordinating fundraising opportunities and private screenings for mentors. – Staff report
"I wasn't a great communicator, but I communicated great things."
“I'm a great believer that any tool that enhances communication has profound effects in terms of how people can learn from each other, and how they can achieve the kind of freedoms that they're interested in.”
